Hi, is anyone back from a recent Southern Caribbean Cruise with the Radiance of the Sea?Here are just some questions.
How ist Embarkation and Debarkation in San Juan? We're having kids traveling with us.
Did you hear anything about the Kids program?
And did you hear Kid's at all?????
What are the best Tour Excursions?
Which islands(Barbados, ST.Maarten, ST. Lucia) are best to do on your own?
Any information is appreciated.
First, I don't have kids, but I thought from what I saw that they had great kids programs. Their kids program is called Adventure Ocean and they split up the kids by age groups. Teenagers have their own pool and disco. It costs about $5.00 per kid per hour so if you wanted to you could drop the kids off one day and have the day to yourself. One night they dressed one group of kids up like pirates and they did a little scene at dinner, it was very cute.
My favorite island was Sint Maarten only because I love to shop and it had the best shopping. I suggest you pick a shore excursion on St. Lucia (beautiful island) and Barbados. I was not impressed with the downtown area of Barbados and from what I heard neither were other people. We went on our own in St. Thomas and took a sail boat that only held six people. They took us to St. John which I found I liked better then St. Thomas.
Anyway, you will have the best time no matter what you choose to do!
Returned from Radiance caribbean cruise on Saturday. Did not take my child with us. The couple who sat with us at dinner had two chidren with them, ages 12 and 8. The 8 year old had a great time with the activities. The 12 year old found plenty of kids her age to hang out with. We did the skyride in St. Thomas and shopped. In Antigua we took a catamaran tour with snorkeling. Nice tour and the people that did it were fun. In St. Martin we shopped and went over to Marigot with my aunt who just happened to be in St. Martin. In St. Lucia we did the horseback riding. This was not enjoyable at all. And finally, in Barbados we did the kayak and turtle encounter. Unfortunately, the sea was too rough to see the turles, but we were able to snorkle to an old shipwreck. Barbados has the most beautiful water and beaches. If you have a daughter, the people on the island will be yelling at you for hairbraiding. It is cute, but if you do it take your own comb and elastics. I have long hair, but that doesn't interest me. The kids like the way it looks. We had a great time on our cruise and are looking at going to Alaska in August. The ship is beautiful. I am sure you will also have a nice time.
We're leaving on the Radiance of the Seas this Saturday 12/1. Can't
What process did you go through from the Airport in Puerto Rico, to
your arrival on the ship? Some Message Boards indicated that people have
to carry their own luggage onto the ship. Do you retrieve your own luggage
in Puerto Rico, take them thru Customs, then meet the Royal Caribbean
Guide for instructions? Or was your luggage already in your room when you
We're staying in an "E3" Superior Ocean View Stateroom with balcony
on deck 7. Any comments on the mini-suites? Do the bathrooms just have
showers, or do some have a tub/shower combination?
We want to take the Atlantis Submarine in St. Thomas, or is the Submarine in Barbados better? In Barbados, any feedback on the 50 acre Flower Forest located at Richmond Plantation?

you start signing up for the Rock Climbing Wall? Do you also have to sign
up for the Put-put golf?
