They say no question is a dumb question but here goes...if you can take a 40 minute ferry ride over to St. John from St. Thomas then why does it take so long for the Brilliance to go from St. Thomas over to St. John? We depart St. Thomas to our next port (St. Johns) and arrive at 8 a.m. the next morning. Why??? What takes the ship so long??? What is the ship doing that I don't know about??? I am new to cruising so there must be something I am missing. How on earth could it take over 14 hours to arrive when it only is a 40 minute ferry ride???Please excuse my ignorance on this matter but could someone please explain this to me...thanx!!! Is there another St. John???
