The view of the promonade doesnt count when you are in port or by the pool or dancing or dining or at the spa or meeting the captain or playing golf or whatever.
FYI
----
a picture of 8275 is at
http://www.royalcaribbean4me.com/rcc...ger_atrium.htm
The caption is
"Voyager of the Seas Promenade Stateroom
A view of the Royal Promenade with bowed windows, two twin beds or one queen-size bed, mini bar, private bathroom, vanity area, television, radio and phone. Comfortable and wonderfully relaxing. 167 square feet"
Since you are new I will share my taking on cruising.
One of the first things I do when I get a room is have the attendent remove the contents of the mini bar to prevent accidental charges. Unless you dont mind paying the mini-bar rates.
Bring a power strip so you have more then one or two plugs.
Bungeecord helps tie down luggage.
The hairdryers are wimpy - you can get a fold-up 1600 watt at a pharmacy.
Bring yellow-stickys - they are useful for communicating with the staff.
Bring highlighter to mark your "Daily Planner"
I am bringing a mess of $2 for tips.
Make any reservations for alternate dining as soon as you get on board - they go fast. Order your excursion on-line 12 or more days before embarking via
www.rci.com.
Dont reserve time at the spa until you see the sales after the 3rd day (2 for 1 sales).
Bring clips in case the shower has a curtain not a door to hold down the bottem.
Bring plenty of hangers and drycleaner bags.
Bring a nightlight.
I bring a cell phone to call from port from the ship. Using the ship phone costs $12/min.
Different cell phone companies have varying usefullness in port.
I always get insurance cause the ship doctor is expensive and doesnt take
bluexblueshield
Thats my story and Im sticking to it.
regards,
J
