We just returned from the Enchantment 5 day itinerary...it was the best cruise to date!
I'd be happy to answer any questions if you have any. Now I'm stuck here on the cold East coast wishing I was still on the ship!
What was your iternerary? The one for my cruise is Ocho Rios and Georgetown.

I just booked this cruise on Friday! We leave Nov 10. This will be our first cruise on RCI, previous Carnival cruises. I am so excited I can barely contain myself, . I was wondering if you noticed any spa specials on Belize port day. We are considering staying on the ship that day. It has nothing to do with Belize, we just enjoy sea days and relaxation. It will be just dh and I on the cruise and we haven't been alone in years, . Please tell me more about your cruise!!!!!!! Thanks.
We were on the 5 day itinerary...Key West, Cozumel and Belize.
I didn't take note of any spa specials...we went cave tubing with Reggies tours. I highly recommend it. The excursion you take with the ship is about $20 more than with Reggie and you don't tube as long as with Reggie. Also the size of the group is MUCH smaller with Reggie and much more personal. The ship tours have 30 or more people in the group, ours had 11.
I do have some pics...if you want to email me I'll send you some...let me know what you'd like to see...I have over 60 pics so I can't email them all, I'd ruin all the fun for you.
I'm not a gambler, so I can't comment there. Hopefully you'll have the same cruise director (Matt Baker), he was hilarious. My recommendations is to be wherever he is and you'll have a blast. The shows were good, don't miss the Love and Marriage show or the Quest...they are a riot. Let me know if you have any specific questions.
My family will be on the EOS for the week of Thanksgiving and will be at Belize on Thangsgiving Day. I was wondering how to find the best excursion company (you mentioned Reggies tours) without having to use the ship excursions???
I am booked on this trip (5 nights Enchantment) in May with my two kids. This will be #8 with RCI for me and #3 for the kids. Looking forward to it. How did you find Belize? Have been to Cozumel and Key West before. I have heard alot of good things about this ship. I prefer the size to the Voyager. I don't shop, ice skate or climb rocks on a cruise. I am there to hang out at the pool and drink and have fun. It looks like a great pool area. Is the solarium too shady or can you get good sun there as well?
I found Reggie through the message boards and he does offer other tours than cave tubing. There really isn't much to do in Belize without booking a tour. check out his website www.regtour.com. His staff was excellent and could answer any question we had. In addition to the cave tubing, they gave us a small tour of Belize City. It is a very poor country and it's kind of sad to see how they live. It really makes you appreciate what you have especially considering what you spent to take the cruise.
I have no idea how you'd get in touch with any passengers without them giving you their information...I'm sure the cruiseline is not able to release that info...at least I would hope not...try putting a message out on the message boards.
As I mentioned before, Belize is definitely a 3rd world country...I highly recommend booking the tour. Cave tubing was the best! This was truly the best cruise I have been on. The ship is the perfect size. Finding a spot at the pool was easy as long as you got there before 9:30 on sea days. While in port it wasn't hard to find a good spot. The solarium has sun as long as the roof is retracted...you may have to shift with the sun to stay in the sun. Most of the lounge chairs are in the shade though, but the pool has a large ledge to sit on and that will keep you in the sun. The main pool is the best spot for the sun. Get a spot at the rear of the pool (aft) for the best sun spot...the sun will stay on you all day there...otherwise the best sun in the am is port side and in the afternoon starboard side for your at sea day....can you tell I love the sun too?
Hopefully Matt Baker (cruise director) will still be on that ship...trust me, go to whatever he is hosting and you will have a blast...also the bingo guy named Double D, he is hilarious at Bingo...even if you don't play, go and watch him...he is so funny.
You guys have me wanting to go back soooo bad. Getting ready to book the Disney cruise for May...we are going to try this with the kids for a change. Let me know if you have any other questions.

We are going to be on the ENCHANTMENT on DEC 8 it will be our 9th cruise but we have not been to these ports before I am looking forward to key west and my husband is looking forward to Belize. My sister in law is traveling with us it is her first cruise.
We are doing the same itenerary - any suggestions for excursions in Belize that are child-friendly? We will have a 15 month old with us! And it will be Christmas Day. Also, did you book your Reggie Tour online before the cruise? How do you know where to go to meet up with the tour once you get to Belize (I haven't cruised in years!!!)?
I wouldn't recommend any of the tours in Belize with children. It was very third world...poor and dirty in the city. If you go out to what they call the mountains it is beautiful with vegetation etc. If I were you I'd enjoy my day on the ship with your child at the pool or something. I thought Belize city was pretty scary. As soon as we got off the ship we were approached by a man asking where we were from and he could tell us the state capital and then proceeded to give us a history lesson on Maryland. Reggie immediately shooed him away. I actually contacted Reggie via email and then mailed him a check. His site is not secure so I didn't want to do it on the internet. I later contacted him to make sure he got the check.
They did mention putting the ship in dry dock for some major modifications. I look at it this way....it has to make the pool area bigger right? That's my only gripe about all the ships...they cram us in like sardines. So if the pool deck is bigger they can add more chairs....yea! I agree that the Enchantment is perfect...so far it's my favorite ship.
Just back last evening! Had a fabulous time. We didn't get off the ship in Cozumel(been there 2 times since May) or Belize, so can't share about that. The food and service was fabulous. We had a table for two and really enjoyed it. All in all, a perfect cruise. This was our first RCI cruise(previously cruised Carnival) but there will be many more to come. My sister and I are sailing on the Mariner, Sep 04.
We are taking our family on The Enchantment over Christmas. Did they have a formal night? If so, can you tell me about the dress code? I also gathered that Beliez is a pretty scary 3rd world country. I was thinking about the city tour which includes going to some type of animal preserve. What do you know about this tour, and who would you recommend for further information? Thanks for your assistance, John.
Yes, there was one formal night on Tuesday evening(Key West day). My husband wore a suit, and I wore a church type dress. There were more formal, and less formal. I think whatever you decide on will be just fine. I don't have any information on Belize. Again, it was a case of us just wanting to stay on the ship and relax. It is a tender port, and it is a 45 minute boat ride each way. You will love the ship and the crew.
I realize Belize City is very depressing, but I encourage all of you, if the ship offers it, to take the excursion to Ambergris Caye. We tendered from the ship to the dock just outside Belize City and immediately got on a boat for the 45 minute ride to Ambergris Caye. All along the way and back, dolphins greeted us and performed as if on call. It was absolutely delightful!! When we arrived at Ambergris Caye, we went to the Hol Chan Marine Reserve and snorkeled with nurse sharks, stingrays, lots and lots of gorgeous fish on one of the most beautiful coral reefs I've ever seen. After about an hour of that, we then went to a lovely beach hotel with places to shower and change clothes, swim in their pool, stroll along the beach, lay around in beachside hammocks, and then we had drinks and a wonderful lunch served in their open-air beachside bar and grill. The hotel offered free transportation into town if anyone wanted to go, and though there was not much to see there, it was still worth the visit. This was, without a doubt, one of the most wonderful excursions I have ever taken. Also, if any of you are scuba divers, to dive the Great Blue Hole in Belize is an experience of a lifetime. Ambergris Caye is a small, incredibly lovely island and I can't wait to go back. It isn't a cheap excursion, but, in my opinion, it was worth every penny. There is also some of the best reef fishing for bonefish off some of the other islands in Belize of anywhere in the entire Caribbean. Hope this helps give you a little bit of a different perspective of what Belize has to offer.
