For those cigar fans: RCI does not sell Cuban Cigars onboard as a matter of policy. I was on the western Carribean cruise. I bought a box of Cohiba Siglo 6's in Jamica at what looked to be a real shop in the Taj Mahal shopping center. After comparing them to ones at had at home and information on online - they are fake. I always look for the Habanos label on the store I buy from, and this one looked like it had it. But upon checking the web, the only Habanos store on this trip was in the Grand Caymans. So if you are looking for real cubans, wait until the Grand Caymans.
Also another tip: The Cigar lounge is open 24 hours. The hours they list in the cruise program is just when they bring a bartender in for bar service.
Has anyone ever been thrown in the slammer for bringing a couple of Cuban cigars into the states. Not a suitcase full, just a couple. I have always wanted to bring a couple
of good cigars as presents for friends back home, but didn't want to miss by plane due to a 20 years to life prison sentence.
