Default RCI/Celebrity Players Club for gamblers

Received my letter today from the Royal Caribbean/Celebrity Player's Club. For gamblers who play fairly high stakes, and put in two hours a day during the cruise, you can now get rated, and get some very nice perks, as well as earn points (which convert to dollars) to be redeemed on your next cruise.

Interesting, because Carnival had a similar program for a number of years, and now they are cutting back on the benefits, and no more cash back. Now RCI is stepping up with what seems to be an improved version of Carnival's program.

Now I have a credit worth $625 dollars to use on my Millennium cruise in Nov., based on my play on the Serenade of the Seas last month!

Have a players club watch from Carnival days. How did you get signed up. When you boarded or prior to your sailing? Have two cruises coming up so let me know. Thanks

You can just join once you're onboard. Simply let one of the pit supervisors know you'd like to join.

You can likely join in advance as well. The letter I received states you can set up a credit line in advance of sailing, if you have such a line at any US based casino.

Kuki,
Thanks for sharing that info. Must look into that for my son. Another perk for RCCL for us.

My husband is a high stakes gambler and two hours of play a day is nothing to him... As a matter of fact, I try not to watch him gamble too often, because I always think how I could use that money for more "substandial things".... He will be glad to hear of the players club for RCI.

Thanks for the info Kuki.

Hi Kuki,
I was on that sailing for the Serenade and spent more than 2 hours a day and can tell you I spent a lot of money in 11 days.

I am a Plat. C&A member, and have never heard of the casino program!

WOW that's great, is it only for card games or do slots count too for credits?

Kuki,
Have called RCI/Celebrity for info and was informed by a supervisor there is no such thing. Tried to explain someone I know received a letter about the Player's Club. They still deny having such a program. Guess we will wait until on board.
As is often true, they were no help at all.

Norma..
The reservations clerks aren't kept aware I guess<G>

The letter I have is from:
Stuart Redding
Manager of Casino Operations

and it was copied to:
David Stanley- VP Fleet Operations

You can ask them at RCI or Celeb if they've ever heard of them.
