Default Monarch of the seas excusions

Has anyone done the Catalina snorkeling and/or kayaking?

Any other recommendations for excursions on the Monarch for a Dec cruise?

Zosh,

Have never done the snorkeling, but I can tell you -- the water will be COLD.

Here are two articles I penned here on Cruisemates regarding some of your stops ... I promised Anne Campbell the next one will be on San Diego, so that should be up before you leave.

For now, here are the links to the articles posted here:

Catalina article:

Ensenada article:

I kayaked and snorkeled in Catalina a couple of years ago. It is absolutly beautiful under the surface of the water, I also did a nighttime snorkel, and that was the best! The kayaking was alot of fun as well, but the water is really cold

Harry, thanks for the links on Catalina and Ensenada. We're cruising in January, so I'll be looking forward to the San Diego article. What would be a good way to locate it when it's posted?

We were thinking about the kayaking, but kayaking in January now sounds way too cold for us. We'll be cruising to Catalina again in May on the NCL Star repo cruise to Vancouver, so we might try it then.

Thanks again, Harry.

The articles come out first on the home page for Cruisemates, so you will usually see it promo'ed there ... stays on teh Home page for about 10 days till newer articles replace it. You can also go under "news and features," pick articles and then go to "ports"
