We are going on the NOS on Feb 5th and going to Stingray City and Dunns Falls and Tubing with Peat Taylor, etc. Any suggestions what to take or not to take as far as clothing for comfort and credit cards or cash, etc. on the excursions. Looking for ideas - thanks.
Hi Sandy,
Just take enough cash for the day that may include some tips for the tour operators, cabs, or any purchases you may make. It doesn't hurt to take along a credit card, just in case, but leave anything you don't need back onboard, cash and other credit cards in your cabin safe. Before we leave home, we get at least 20 single dollar bills, so we are ready for any tips along the way. All those ports will gladly accept US currency.
I wear my bathing suit under shorts and a t-shirt. That way if there aren't any changing facilities don't have to worry about it. Also, sometimes the lines for changing can be long. I bring a beach bag with suntan lotion, bug spray, lip balm, sunglasses, book, towel, underwater camera, & a regular camera. I bought a waterproof case that hangs around my neck for my cash & credit cards. I bought it at Walmart a couple of years ago. They also sell them on the ship. For cameras I bring the disposable ones, that way I don't have to worry about them. Hope this helps.
Darcy

Water shoes! The rocks at Dunn's are slippery. I wouldn't attempt it w/o some very good rubber sole shoes for traction.
The other suggestions above are good. If you're taking a bag along, you may want to throw in a few first aid supplies, e.g. bandaides, neosporin, ibuprofen. I wouldn't overdue it, but these three are small and have come in handy for me.
