My girlfriend and I are thining of taking a cruise sometime during winter break to the bahamas. Neither of us have been on one before. I'm 20 & she's 18. First off, will we have any trouble even getting a cabin since we're not going to be with anyone 21+? Secondly, what are the drinking ages on the Royal Caribbean ships? Or are there other cruise lines that might be better for us? Thanks.
Guests are required to be 21 years old (on embarkation day) to travel. Guests under the age of 21 must be accompanied in the same stateroom by a parent or guardian 25 or older or unless you are married.
Effective July 1, 2005 guests under the age of 21 must be booked in a stateroom with an adult who is 21 years or older. A parent or legal guardian must accompany guests under the age of 18 and must be booked in the same or adjacent stateroom. Acceptable proof will be required. These restrictions may be waived at our discretion where applicable.
Drinking age on the ships is 21, but RCI lets those with parent signed waiver have beer and wine at 18.
