Congrats on booking Freedom. I'm very much looking forward to sailing her in September. My only advice/comment about this type of cabin would be to be sure you keep the curtains drawn when dressing/undressing. You can see in as well as out. I think it would fun to be able to watch all the goings on in the Promenade, but wouldn't want anyone watching me, . BTW, when are you sailing?

I had booked a prom and a balcony across the hall. Thinking I could save some money. (family of 4) But I love the bal and changed it to 2 adjoining bal. I thought it would be great to have a prom room. I love to people watch. Let us know how you like it please.
My wife and I traveled in a promenade cabin on Explorer. We liked it. You could people-watch rather well from the cabin. It gave us a birds-eye view of the parades. While we might not book one again, it is only because we enjoyed the outside balcony as much as we did. Given the choice between a promenade cabin and no cruise, we'd happily take the former without any concerns.
Hoosier Daddy, I like your name, so you , having a since of humor will understand the yellosno tag. I have been fortunate to have skiied all over North America and some in Europe, so being obsessed with snow for 30yrs. the name seemed appropriate. I spend more spare time cruising now than skiing, so maybe I should change the name?
i had a promenade room and it was pretty neat to be able to see whats going on below you, if you go to sleep early--i wouldn't reccommend it thought because there is loud music, but not past...about 10:00 or 11:00.
I had a Promenade Stateroom on Explorer of the Seas, my 1st RCCL cruise. We loved the room and like others said, was a great room for watching the parades, people, etc. The bay window was a nice touch from a standard inside stateroom as well.
