Just back from Navigator OTS; Review + Any Questions???
Just got back from the April 1 7-Night Western Carribean sailing of Navigator OTS. What a blast!
I won't bore you with an extrememly long post; here are the highlights:
Labadee: LOVED IT! Our favorite of the 4 stops. A full day of lounging in the sun (plus me on a WaveRunner!). They bring food from the WindJammer onto the island, free of course. The island is much bigger than it looks from the ship or from pictures.
A tip: Head toward the back of the island when you arrive. It's much less crowded (everyone just stops at the first open chair they see!), and personally, we thought that part of the beach was just nicer and prettier anyway.
Jamaica: Another nice day... we didn't do much. We took a guided bus tour, which included Shaw Park Botanical Gardens (very cool; lots of photo opportunities), and Dunn's River Falls.
Some tips: Leave anything breakable, anything than can't get wet, and any valuables in your stateroom or locked on your bus. You will get soaked, and things like expensive sunglasses and cameras are not going to fare too well.
Also, about shoes; They try to rent you some AquaSocks-type shoes for $5/person; Just wear some non-leather sandals with a Velcro back-strap and you'll be fine.
Grand Cayman: Nice beach, and I hear Stingray City is nice; otherwise, not much to see.
Cozumel: LOVED IT!! Drank way too much Corona, sat on Paradise Beach for about 6 hours. My wife got a 30 minute, beachfront massage for $20 USD!
The tender was awful; it was huge, probably 600 people on it, and it took almost 2 hours from the time we got in line for it until the time we got back to our stateroom.

The ship:
Great overall! Food was not tremendous, but was consistent and good. Dinner service was very good.
We had our first balcony, 8288. Loved it!
Something interesting; there were no semi-formal nights! 2 formal nights and 5 casual nights. Who knew?!
