Default Bahamas/Atlantis question

Please forgive me if this question has been asked/answered already, but I am new to this site and to cruising. Went on our first cruise (Enchantment to Grand Cayman/Ochos Rios) and we are hooked!!

We are taking our two daughters in October to the Bahamas. Would like to take them to Atlantis (as suggested by someone on this site). We were looking at pictures of Atlantis and they saw the slides. Are there any excursions that will allow us to do these slides??

Thanks all! Michell

not an excursion with the boat, just take a cab to the atlantis, you can purchase wrist bands for the day and you can use the slides, i did it last year and i loved it! i was 15 then it was a really good time, I'd say go for it.

Actually, in order to use the facilities at Atlantis, you need to be guests at the hotel. YOu can purchase a tour, which will include the aquarium and the dig, very good tour and worth the money. You can also stay at a near-by Comfort Inn and by being guests there allows you use of the facilities at Atlantis, including the water slides. There is a max. of 4 guests per room there.

So Donna if we go to the Atlantis and purchase the tour of the Atlantis we can use the slides? Not that I want to but my girls do. I'll be happy with lunch.

Hi Candy,
No, you can't use the water slides with just the tour. You need to be a hotel guest in order to do that.

My Husband and I took a Taxi from the cruise port to the Atlantis. my husband was able to purchase a wrist band without being a hotel guest and also we were able to use the beach area for a small daily fee.
The outdoor ray tanks are amazing and all the under ground aquarium viewing windows. If you have the time treat yourself to a cool refreshment and snack in the restaraunt where two full walls of glass to view the largest part of the aquarium. You might even time it right to see divers feeding the residents.
Awsome place, you'll have a great time!
Have Fun
