Sightseeing close to St Maarten pier

Can anyone tell me of any really close sightseeing we can do around the pier in St Maarten's. Can only go around between 9:00 am and 12:PM. One member is disabled and in a wheelchair.
Thanks,

The St. Maartin pier is beautiful. It is fully accessible. There are several shops and an area to sit and watch people. It is so pretty.

Not much going on near the St Marteen Pier, you have the twon to your left, not sure what there is to the right, a taxi may beable take you as most are minivans. You can walk to town, walkway is wide enough for a wheelchair. The town is full of stores for electronics, alcohol, souveniers, clothes stores etc.

Hope this helps.

I think the key to this question is "the pier". You can now dock at St Martin, but it isn't the same little pier the tenders used to use. It is a pretty long walk along the pier to the City center. (200 yards?)
