Default Spring Break 2008 March 30th Mariner!!

Planning my Spring Break cruise. Have taken the kids every year in May when schools gets out but next year they don't get out until June and June 8th is a lot more than March 30th for the Eastern on the Mariner. Also Spring Break should be better weather, we go to San Juan instead of Cococay and also visit St Thomas and St Martin. The 3 days at sea will be nice.

In looking at available cabins, all the ones directly aft are gone. Was in 7388 last time. I would like to know anyones experience in the famed "HUMP" cabins. Specifically, 7310 or 7328. It seems the one before the hump would offer a better view than the one behind the hump. What about the shape of balcony? It seems to be cut up a bit? I think the proximity to the elevators and stairs would be a nice benefit since it was a LONG walk from 7388 to the elevator!!

Any feedback on this

Hey DAve,
I agree with you, going during spring break time is great weather and still chilly at home, I love going then. Not sure about the cabin, but it sounds wonderful, I'd go for it...the boys will love it.

I was in 7624 on my first sailing. The balcony is the same size, just on a slant/curve, and that creates a little extra space between the curtain and the glass which we used for extra storage - behind the curtain and out of the way. So depending on which cabin you have on the hump, you can get a little more space but not much.

Between the two, I'd definitely take the one in front of the hump. I really liked being right off the elevators and of course you can look right down on the promenade from the library area.

Take front of the hump...had a back of the hump on the Radiance
and while the balcony was bigger and we enjoyed it, I like to
see where we are headed.

Thank JaxGuy,

That was the kind of input I was looking for. As much back and forth to the pool as we did, the closer to the stairs the better.

Thanks for your input guys on the midship Cat E1 balcony. After some thought and rechecking the availability...it is official! I am in 8390 aft starboard corner! 8)

I am calling this the...

Dave the Wave Spring Break Cruise!!

My last real Spring Break was 1988 when I was a senior in college. So this will be the 20 year anniversary of my last Spring break. This could be the cruise to beat all cruises.
