Try Primetimeshuttle.com I have used them numerous times and they have always been great - professional, on time, reasonably priced. I like the idea of a fixed price upfront, rather than a cab that can get costly if you get caught in traffic.

Sailed on Monarch of the Seas from this port. If you're flying in the same day the ship sails, some type of "arranged" transportation is good; however, if you wanted to rent a car, here's what I did. Budget-Rent-A-Car has a office in LAX and in Long Beach, CA. You can drive the car one-way from LAX to the satilite office in Long Beach, CA to drop it off. No additional fees are associated with a drop off at this location. They then have a free shuttle to take you to pier (about a 10 min ride from their office). On the way home, you can have them pick you up at the pier and bring you to their office for free to re-rent a car to get yourself back to LAX. Good Luck!

Just to be clear - Long Beach is not 10 minutes from the San Pedro piers. But it is a good idea if going on Carnival which does leave from the Long Beach piers and not from San Pedro.

Paul's right. Even though they are only 8.5 miles apart it does take about 15 sometimes 20 minutes depending on traffic to get from one to the other. Good thing to know about Budget too since Enterprise, which is closest to San Pedro is closed on Sundays.

Take a cab or hire a service to get you there
It's a vacation,enjoy it
I live in So Calif. and have been there many times
There are a few wrong turns you can make very easy
One will cost a toll to cross the bridge

Enjoy your cruise
