Default Monarch of the Seas for Spring Break

Hi everyone,
I have booked a cruise on RCI for Monarch of the Seas, sailing out March 17th, for 4 nights. I am a college student and am looking forward to my first cruise. Now I have heard many stories of people spending over $300 on alcohol on their cruises. I am sure I'll get patronizing flamers for this, but how likely is it I will be able to sneak some liquor on board. I certainly plan to make use of their bars as well, but I'd like to have some alcohol available in my room, to trim down the cost at least a little bit. I know their policy states that you can get kicked off, but from what I've read on forums this rarely happens. I was thinking of putting some whisky in a brown Listerine bottle or some vodka in a batch of water bottles. Any advice? Comments? Suggestions? Anything else I should know about the cruise? Worthy shore excursions? Any input is appreciated!

Default Bringing Liauor Onboard

We have taken liquor onboard many times, and have never had it confiscated. Just be sure to put it in your checked baggage, not your carry-on.

Put your containers in ziploc bags (double would be better) so you don't have any surprises when you open your checked bags.

Pootersdad: I see you have a BTB on the Radiance. She is a beautiful ship, In fact she is my favorite. Have fun in the Carib.

scythemk:
DTW is the expert on bringing alcohol on board. Amazing.
