Adventure of the Seas - bring lap top?

Booked on AOS for 4/13/08 sailing. Does this ship have wireless connections or connections in cabins for a lap top? Just got lap top and never really paid attention to what was available in the cabins before. Also this is the first time we are sailing on a voyager class ship. Would appreciate any comments.

I can't address the wireless on board, but we have an aircard for ours thru Verizon. last April we were on MOS and in ports St Thomas & St Marteen we got a good signal as w/ a cell phone. That way we didn't have to pay any RCI fees. The other advantage to having the laptop was it allowed us to download all our digitial pictures each day and free up the memory card.

Thanks for the info. We are kind of novices when it comes to this high speed internet connections stuff. We still have dial up at our house.

I bring my laptop with me when we cruise. I use it while we're in port (generally get a good signal with my Verizon air card). When we're at sea, away from cell towers, I use my free internet minutes I get for being a Diamond level C&A member.

Royal Caribbean charges 50 cents per minute if you use their computers in the internet cafes, but you can also buy a weekly package. Cabins have internet connections, but I've never used it.

The Adventure OTS doesn't have in Cabin Wi-Fi, but you can purchase an in cabin internet connection from the ship. There are 6 "hotspots" for Wi-Fi scattered about the ship, but it is not free. For in cabin ethernet, shipboard internet cafe or for a password for the 6 "hotspots", you will need to purchase internet minutes from the ship at 50 cents a minute or one of the multi-minute packages offered.

Thanks again for the info. Checked with my TA and she said to check at the purser's desk for internet connections in the cabin.
