Default shore excursions

How long before the departure date does Royal Caribbean post the shore excursions? Just wondering when I can check on what's offered thru cruise line. Thanks a bunch.

I believe it is about 6 months out. They may even keep offering more as cruise time comes closer.

Have you checked out forums on the different ports for ideas, too?

Have fun planning!

www.caribbeanportreviews.com

I've done some research and there are a lot of things that you can get cheaper/better by going outside of the ship's offers.

Have fun!

As long as you have a reservation number, you can go on the RCCL web site and see the shore excursions for your specific cruise.

I've done research, too. Here's what I've found:

Private excursions can be cheaper if you have a group. If you are just 2 people, you often do better with the ship's excursions. I found this to be true for European excursions.

If it's a long day excursion, be very careful of booking outside excursions. The ship will wait for you if you are on one of their excursions. It will NOT wait for you if you are on a private excursion. I've seen it happen.

Check the web sites for each port city. Sometimes the visitors bureau will have free tours or there will be a hop-on-hop-off bus available at a nominal amount.

i'm sailing in 9 months. If I try to look at excursions through my ressie, it tells me that there is no excursions planned for that cruise yet. If you go from the main screen into before you board, browse excursions by specific cruise and date, it shows me all my excursions. I thought I had them all planned, but nko I'm gonna check out the above site and hope for some good deals.

4 - 6 months.

Our October cruise in October has no excursions available yet.

But if you have one of those classic standard itineraries you can peek at one close to your sailing.

I.e. October 20 we are sailing with some Family members on the Majesty. Since none of them have been in Coco Cay and Nassau I send them the excursion brochure for the same sailing for September 29. I doubt that prices or times will change.
