Default Flow Rider; H2O Zone; Ice Skating

I am debating traveling on RCCL this summer or going with a different cruise line. The only thing that is swaying me to RCCL is the activities for the kids (traveling with 5 boys ages 9-17). Can anyone tell me if the Flow Rider, H2O Zone, Ice Skating rink, etc is worth it? Are they open a lot? Long lines? Any information would be appreciated.
Thank you!

Since you are cruising with kids, I'd say, yes, its worth it for all these activities...As for lines, 2 short lines for the flowrider, once you wipe out, thats it for your turn. They usually have two sides going at once and its fun to just watch while you wait. It looks easier than it is. Don't forget the rock climbing wall, just check your daily compass for times when they are open, same for the ice skating...The entire family will love this ship, have fun.

In my opinion, the kids pool is fabulous, kids will love it..The ice show, was amazing, and I thought I would not even bother, but so glad I did..And for your kids to skate at sea, will have them telling all thier pals about it when they get home...

The flow rider was wonderful to watch, and better for the young, not the young at heart like me:):):) If they like to climb, another great story to tell the folks back home A+ ship for kids, and for a kid like me:)

Having been on the FOTS with one thousand kids on board last June I can tell you that the lines for the flow rider moved right along. Your boys will love it. They may be too old for the H2O Zone as these were for young children, but they will have enough to do at the main pool (different from the adults only one) and many other age specific activities.

Yes all the "extras" that can only be found on RCCL mega ships are worth it. With boys ages 9 to 17 the freedom class ships are the way to go!

Enjoy!

i totally agree with the other that the Freedom class ships are the way to go, there will be so much for your kids and you to do, everyone who goes on the FlowRider looks like they are having a blast, H20 Zone is for the younger ones, rock climbing wall, full basketball court, not to mention the group activities for the kids, make sure they sign up!
