Yes as of sailings after 9/1, you were probably last to get them on Jewel.

we just sailed on Serenade 13-20th September and had chocolates on our pillow every night.

Guess they are using balance of inventory on some ships.

(BTW-I actually discussed it with someone with RCI and they confirmed it was going to be fleetwide.)

We just got off the Jewel on the 20th and still had them but won't miss them (remember when they used to be a different chocolate every night?). And towel animals were with a towel they saved for that purpose.

Hard to believe that the higher price paid for an RCI cruise, won't buy a mint for my pillow? Just another reason I guess....

It looks like I am in the minority as I dont really care for the mints on the pillows but I really love the towel animals.

Hello Fellowcruisers,

This 'nickel and diming' is getting ridiculous.

Pretty soon cruisers will get discouraged by all this and may look for alternatives to cruising.

For God's sakes. It is a couple mints or chocolates we are talking about.
All you to do is go to the dining room and get your chocolate fix.

I have to agree, and taking a stck of mints home, will bring back a memory or two, after the cruise. How many time have you put your hand in a pocket of something, or a pocketbook, you wore on a cruise and found a mint, a ticket stub, etc..ahhhhh:0

I too usually have a handfull to bring home, give to the grandkids :-) Just a nice reminder of a week spent in paradise, will miss that for sure.

Well actually they know exactly. I happened to talk to a person at RCI in the finance department and they ran some kind of accounting formula to determine just how much they would save fleet wide. (I'm not an accountant so I forgot exactly what it was called) It also seems that pax would raid the cabin stewards carts in the evening and 'score' extra mints. Amazing, what some people will do.

thanks for the "heads up"..I'll bring some mints from home so I can place on my GF's pillow nightly so she won't notice the cut back (and guess I better take animal towel lessons, because I really look forward to them)..and leave a mint for our cabin steward every night with a short note to thank him/her for taking care of our cabin

I'm of the school that it's no big deal

We just got off Jewel of the Seas yesterday and there were mints every night except the day we arrived. There were no towel animals on the first and last nights.

Just sailed on Sovergein of the Seas 9-26/29 and had mints every night. Only had towel animal 2 nights tho.
