Just off the Enchantment!
What I thought was going to be a Caribbean cruise turned out to be an Alaskan cruise!

:o
5 nite cruise to Grand Cayman and Cozumel with a couple of sea days.
The only time the sun was out was on Embarkation day. The rest of the time it was cloudy, windy and cold.
Saturday 11/15 Embarkation day
This was the best day of all saw some sun and was warm however very windy. Embarkation was a piece of cake was on the ship by 11:45.
The sailaway party was alot of fun.
Sunday 11/16 Sea day
This was a rough day! Ship was rocking, the vomit bags were out and the sea sickness meds were being handed out by the staff. Many cruisers hanging out in the centrum laying down. The pools were open in the early afternoon and pool games were played like Limbo, Mr. Enchantment, Hula Hoop. Mid Afternoon it got worse colder and wind so the pool was closed and many went inside.
We got to sit at the Captain's table for Formal nite.
Monday 11/17 Grand Cayman
Grand Cayman main port was closed so we docked at another spot 4 miles away. We took a cab to do some shopping.
Tuesday 11/18 Cozumel
I always do enjoy Cozumel. Took a cab did some shopping and hit Senor Frog and Carlos and Charlies. My first time to these places and it was alot of fun we did so much laughing!!!
This was the warmer day of the whole trip but still no sun and very windy.
Wednesday 11/19 Sea day
This was another rough day. Pools and Rock climbing were closed and Belly Flop was cancelled.

It was a very cold day. The winds were at 30 mph. :o

Everyone stayed indoors. I did the bridge tour on this day. Since everyone was inside they did have extra inside activities during the day like dance classes (Salsa, Cha-Cha and swing) which I loved. Also trivia stuff going on.
Thursday 11/20 Debarkation
Well this was the best and fastest debarkation ever!!

Being a Diamond member really helps. No waiting on lines! Diamonds were the first to be escorted off the ship and there were no lines anywhere. We were sitting in the main dining room for about 10 minutes waiting for them to start debarkation and then we were off the ship and in a cab in 5 mintues.
We also did not put our luggage out the nite before so we just took it with us and did not have to look though hundreds of suitcases to find ours.
A few more details.......
The Ship - For an older ship I thought it was very clean and beautiful. However I have to say I still prefer Freedom class ships. I'm just a Big Ship Lover.
The Staff- They were wonderful except for one of the girls working with the CD I thought she had an attitude problem. Also the person in the Diamond lounge was not friendly at all. However on the last day he became friendly looking for tips. :o
The cabin Steward was a sweetheart along with the dining staff. I have to say the service in the dining room is better then what I experienced in the Freedom class ships.
The CD Marc "bing bong" Walker was very funny. Abel Jeney was a blast he had me laughing in tears everyday I'm sure he will be promoted to CD in the future. Carlos in Boleros was wonderful also.
The entertainment - We did not catch the production shows. The comedian did not make me laugh so I walked out of his show. The 70's nite was a blast so so so much fun. It was held in the centrum and of course the village people made an appearance.

Alot of dancing, laughing and good times. The best part of the whole cruise.
The 80's nite was also very good. Again alot of dancing. The deck party one evening was alot of fun but alitte too cold and windy.
Bolero's my favorite always alot of fun. This Bolero's was bigger then the ones on the Voyager/Freedom class ships.
First cruise as a Diamond member - It was great! The Diamond lounge is great to hangout before dinner and in the am. The cappuccino in there is excellent. Also the finger foods and shrimp were excellent. Meet some nice cruisers. Debarkation as a Diamond is wonderful. We had a 2pm flight but we switched it to the 10:40am flight when we got to the airport. We could have even made the 9:40 flight if we were just a few minutes earlier. They just stopped boarding for that flight when we got there.
Weather - Well as stated above no sun, cloudy, windy and cold. Staffers said last week was hot and sunny. Just never know what mother nature will bring. Mid way through the cruise the ship even seemed to be cold. One nite we turned the A/c off in the cabin it was too cold.
My Time Dining - I was the first one to say I hate my time dining/freestyle. Well I was wrong!!!
We did pick My Time and loved loved loved it. We had made a reservation for dinner when we first got on the ship. We were booked with 1st seating 6pm. Changed it to My Time at 6:45pm each nite. We had the same section each nite and the same wonderful waiters each nite. It was perfect since 6pm can be alittle early but 8:30 for me is too late so we were right in the middle of the two seating. It was great and will choose My Time again on future cruises.
Food - I thought was good. However I'm not picky and don't eat much so food is not my reason for cruising. Escargot....Yummy, Lopster.....Yummy, Onion Tart....Yummy, Scallops.....Yummy. Mints on the pillow each nite and a towel animal 4 of the 5 nites.
Overall a great cruise alot of laughter and dancing however everyone was disappointed that we were not able to sit out on the pool deck and enjoy the sunshine. My friend and I did not vomit but were feeling alittle seasick on Sunday we took the meds and were fine. I was fine the rest of the week she was seasick again on Wednesday.
I would cruise Enchantment again

however my heart belongs to Freedom Class ships.
There was a cruiser walking around the centrum in his PJ's (very funny guy) when he was questioned why he was in his PJ's he said there is no sun out so there is no reason to get dressed today and he could not wait to get off the ship.
Getting home to 20 degrees was no fun!
Now I must catch up on Laundry, sleep and rest my tired danced feet.
Pictures to be posted soon! We took alot of pictures and there are some funny ones.
Time to book a WARM Carribean cruise!!! 8) 8)
