Default Grand Suite vs Junior Suite

Planning a cruise on the Freedom of the Seas in 2010 and I've decided that I at least want a suite room for this vacation. Can anyone tell me if there is a significant difference between the Grand Suite rooms and Junior Suite rooms? From RC's site, I see the GS is obviously larger but the JS has the larger balcony (I thought that was interesting). Are the amenties that you receive the main difference? I read in a previous post that RC is adding perks to all suites starting in 2010 but JS will not have all the perks of the GS. Does anyone know what the GS will have that the JS will not? I'm trying to decide if the price difference is worth the cost.

Thanks for the help!

Excellent link. Thanks, Carol. I noticed, though, that they didn't mention any perks for the JR Suites. They only mentioned Grand Suites and higher, so I'm not sure what benefits you get by being in the JR Suite, other than extra space.

Two cruise credits vs. one with cabins under JS Level. That is about it. Jr. Suites are considered by RCCL to be large balcony cabins not really suites. However, JS's are nice, we had them on both of our VOS cruises.

I am in a grand suite in May. I received a letter from RCI regarding all the perks my wife and I will be getting. One nice perk is free pressing of suits and dresses for formal nights. Also reserved lounge chairs in pool area.

Those must be new because we were in a GS on a 12 night out of Rome last summer and those were not included. Enjoy those!

Yeah, they are just being implemented in March. I don't know it that's today, or the end of the month.

Default RCI Suite Amenities

Look http://www.royalcaribbean.com/ourCom...-2009&prCode=A to see the new suite amenities being rolled out by RCI.

Are Jr Suite people asked to tip the $5.75 pp as Suite people are?

No. When we've been in a JS the suggested amount was $3.50 pp since it is really not considered a true "suite" as far as perks and services.
