The weather will be HOT! We cruised the Mexican Riviera in October 06 on the Vision OYS. If your cruise is on the Mariner OTS, you should have a wonderful time. Lots of activities to do on the Mariner OTS. Some great beaches in Cabo, great sightseeing and shopping in Mazatlan, and Puerto Vallarta has the mountains and beaches. When we were in Puerto Vallarta, our ship didn't leave until 11pm, if that is still the case, I suggest a really nice restaurant called the "River Cafe" which is under the bridge that spans the river in downtown Puerto Vallarta. Any tourist taxi driver will know where it is. It is a great seafood/steakhouse! We did the Dolphin swim in Cabo and then hired a boat to take us out to the beach near the Lands End arch. In Mazatlan we took a city tour with a great tour guide we met on the pier. Have a great cruise!

I always believe a balcony is worth it if you can afford it.
