OK we decided to go with either Oasis/Allure and need help on what deck to select, it will be a ocean view balcony and need one that is not "exposed" to people above, spend alot of time on the balcony. We tied up next to the Oasis a few months ago, and seem to remember that it did not have any decks that extended from the ship. Also help on what rooms to avoid, that may be above/below/next to a high noise area. Thanks in advance. Deborah
I don't recall any issues when we took the Oasis as far as balcony "exposure" goes. They were all similar as I recall and had enough privacy to do your thing. Unless, however, you get the gawkers who try to look around the screen or lean over their railing to look down upon you. That happeded one time and they will never do that again as I gave them quite the show
Thanks surfguy, I know what you mean about the "gawkers or leaners".We always try to find out if there is any children on either side( does not take long!!!) and if not, we feel that if they go to the trouble to lean out and look around the divider onto our balcony, so be it. They will see all of us, if you know what I mean. Never had a problem and have even made some good friends this way.
No, the balconies don't extend except for the aft ones, unlike the Princess ships that do. We found it was always nice to be higher up, closer to the Windjammer Market Place if possible and the pool deck. Just make sure you have guest cabins above and below you, for less noice from a public area... I think first off, see what cabins are available, I didn't have many to choose from...
I bet you will just love this class ship. If you are going with kids, keep in mind that Allure has the dreamworks characters onboard.
DW and I have been on both the Oasis and the Allure and our choice for the Oasis was deck 14 and our choice for the Allure was deck 17. Both were very nice.
