Default Jewel of the Seas First time

Hi Cruisers
We have booked our first time on RCI and San Juan cruise . We sail in Nov. We are looking for any info on the Jewel of Seas. We know RCI is different from Carnival or NCL in some ways. Just getting our plans in order so to speak. Are there any other cruisers cruising the Jewel Nov 15. like to hear from you. Thanks for any info. Happy cruising.

if you click on this link it will take you to RCI website; from there click on plan a cruise then click on ships. Jewel is listed under Radiance Class

LOVE ROYAL CARIBBEAN, WE Sail in December this year from Puerto Rico to Southern Caribbean, which is a great itinerary and more ports than the other Caribbean itineraries. We have a party of 10 persons family and friends, so should be fun, and staying over in Puerto Rico pre-boarding due to flight and ship connections. We booked a suite onboard as we have family with us, but does afford more perks and amenities. We had booked a suite on a Mediterranean Cruise, and you can used to all the services so would be hard to regress even to the Jr. Suite - I like space. While Jewel is not the newest ship, cruising itself lends to a great vacation with everything in one place and seeing a different port/country every day. Enjoy

While I've never sailed on the Jewel, the repositioning cruises on this ship, sailing from Boston, are extremely popular with my friends who have sailed her. You"ve chosen a beautiful ship, embarking from a stunning port....

We just got back from the Southern Caribbean via Jewel of the Seas.. Very nice ship but looking a little tired in some places.. The carpet is starting to show wear and tear but other than that, didn't really notice any other issues. The food on the Jewel was very good as was the service.. We had a Balcony room (9066) and found that we had tons of storage.. Some of which we didn't even use. The Solarium was nice. Loved having a quiet place to relax even though the cruise this time was non-stop. I know there is really nothing they can do about this but the plants in the Solarium have turned blue from the sun and it really looks awful. I would rather them have nothing than plants that are so fake looking. Even though this is a smaller ship, I never felt cramped. It was easy to get from one place to the other and the elevators were plentiful The Windjammer never felt crowded except on the last sea day when no one was off the ship. But even then, we had no trouble finding a seat. Overall, very nice ship and would not hesitate of sail her again!! ENJOY!!!!

Hi Cathy
Thank you for your post. Glad you had a good cruise. We are looking forward with anticipation growing. The islands are what we were looking for. Jewel will be our first on RCI, like starting cruising again. Thanks for the info.
