$1500 Pacific crossing (Beijing-Anchorage) on Diamond Princess May 6-21 2011(16 days)
Leaves Beijing (Xingang), China on May 6, 2011 and arrives Anchorage (Whittier) Alaska on May 21, stopping at two ports in China, two in Japan, and Vladivostok, Russia.
Looking to share a cabin to reduce the cost. I'm 33, male, American, four-time cruiser. I don't plan to spend much time in the cabin other than to sleep. I'm a flexible, easy-going non-smoker looking for the same, male or female.
I had a good experience sharing a cabin on the QM2 crossing the Atlantic on my way to Europe for grad school and am hoping for another good surface trip back home to Minnesota via the trans-Siberian railway and this trans-Pacific cruise.
Listed as $1499 per person (inside cabin).
Please contact me directly if you are interested or have any questions.
Are you still looking for a cabin mate?
I am currently in Japan, looking for a way to get to North America without flying. This looks like a viable option (although I am also looking at the possibility of sailing...)
It seems, though, from the website you linked to, that the price for the interior cabin is only $799.00, which would bring the total to $888.87 with "Government Fees and Taxes"
My main problem with joining this is that at the moment I am in Hokkaido, so would need to get back to Beijing (or is it Tianjin?) to join the cruise - and so I'd need to sort out Chinese visas etc. (or would it be possible, do you think, to join it in Busan?)
Hope you've been enjoying / are enjoying the Trans-Sib - I did it last May and had an awesome time.
Princess has dropped the price for Inside cabin to $799/pp USD. Unfortunately, Princess does NOT pay for your Visa, so if you're US citizen, you will need to obtain Visa entry fr China and Russia which will cost you $430 - $450 USD ...
