Default First time cruiser and newly separated SWM

I am 47 years young. I drag race, i have raced stock cars.
I race RC Off Road Buggies. Just a big kid at heart.
I have never been on a cruise, looking to give it a shot this year.
Not looking for romance, just want to experience the open water.
I was in the Navy for 12 years, on Submarines, so I never got to see
the open ocean at night.
I have been doing a lot of reading and it sounds fun. Past couple years of fires and illness's have me a tad worried though. I realize it is a very small percentage of all cruises that are affected.

Looking to leave east coast, going anywhere, or nowhere.
The cost of a cabin solo is not to bad, but I would like to have someone with experience for my first cruise. You know, the do's and don't, proper educate, stuff like that. I am the senior network engineer for a local tv station, i am honest, and very clean.

Thank you in advance for any comments or advice.
Oh, july-dec time frame is sort of what i am looking for.

Is there a local port you prefer to sail from?

I have never been on a cruise, so i have no preference. East coast would be preferable though.

Default Hello

Hi I'm Debbie,
I am a divorced 53 yr young female. I have a cruise planned for July this year with family. A group of 7 adults and I am the "odd woman out". I'm looking for a roommate to avoid paying the double price. I am already reserved in a balcony room. Like you I am not looking for romance, just a new friend. I have cruised a few times before and LOVE it. This cruise leaves out of Ft. Lauderdale, 7 nights on Carnival Freedom. If you think you might be interested let me know and we can talk more. Thanks and have a great night. :-)

March or April Brazil to Spain Cruise - seek to share cabin
I would like to travel from Brazil to Europe in March or April and need someone to split a cabin to take advantage of the great prices. Male or female, any age is fine. Just cabinmate and hopefully some good dinner conversation.

I'm an easy going American Expat, early retired and live in Brazil now.

Hi
im so sorry for my last posting if it went through there was a type o and when I tried to rectify the site closed. What I meant to say was put any hesitations to rest there is no words for being out on deck in the middle of the ocean on a starlit night or at sunrise with an expresso and the breeze washing over you.
Are you on the east coast of Australia or USA?
For now
Kas
