Hello
I believe you are registered on the other Cruise Companion site. I was seriously considering this tour when, if I am correct, I saw your post. This is the tour that starts in Dubai and zig zags all over the place, does both sides of America, both canals....but it is very expensive compared to the Dawn Princess 90 day tour and has less ports. I have my heart set on Venice and this tour does two day here. A shorter version with flight back from Venice is 44 day is an option.

Default Youngish 60 year old needs cabin companion.

I am eager to book a cabin on the Dawn Princess leaving Sydney in early July. It is the 90 day Mediterranean tour. I think I had a reply previously from a person from Ulladulla but I cannot find her response again in this thread...Where are you? Well any one who wants to do this cruise I am happy to chat with you.

Default Need cabin mate for World Cruise out of Sydney. Aus.

I'm interested in anything from a short 3-4 day cruise to the Bahamas - all the way to a world cruise. (I would want us to try one or two shorter cruises first, just to be sure we're a good fit.)

I'm fairly fit, but I don't do super active excursions like zip lines, scuba or rock climbing. But I'm also perfectly happy for my roomie to go off and do those things on her own. I would like to have a fairly consistent dinner companion, though I enjoy anytime dining and joining other groups for variety and meeting new people.

I don't smoke. I drink wine with dinner on some nights.

I am Platinum on Princess. I have also cruised with Royal Caribbean. I'm open to other cruise lines, particularly if you are at a level that affords us some extras.

I enjoy reading, playing cards, crochet, Bingo, cooking classes, conversation, history, historical sites, museums, markets, gorgeous views and laughter.

In my work life, I was in higher education administration. I also served as an alcohol & drug counselor and provided marriage and family counseling. In my retirement, I try very hard not to administer anything or counsel anyone. But obviously, I would prefer to travel with someone who does not have issues with alcohol or drugs and is fairly stable and low key.

If you think we might travel well together, please send me a private message.

Thanks!

Hi,

I live near Melbourne.

I have thought about this trip, but it cuts into a planned trip to USA. I am thinking of a World trip on Dawn Princess in May 2014 and need a cabin mate. Need to book before 31st March this year to get $200 worth of onboard credits. What sort of price are you paying for 90 day cruise and what sort of creditds?

Where do you live, if in Aus. perhaps we could meet and check compatability for travel anyway.

Default November 2013 Transatlantic from Rome

Since I did not succeed in finding a cabinmate for my upcoming transatlantic, I thought I'd start trying right away for the one I'll be doing later. Details:

Celebrity Constellation, "Three Continents" cruise leaving Civitavecchia on Nov. 24, 2013 and arriving 15 days later in Ft. Lauderdale.

I'm 72, overweight but very active, extremely easy-going. I've done cruises with several different cruisemates, some of whom I've joined in ship activities and excursions, others just dined with. I'm open to whatever category of cabin you prefer.

Default Alaska in May

Hello cruisers,

I'm just starting my search for a travel buddy to share a cabin on an Alaska Cruise, or Alaska tours departing in May (I am flexible with dates but it needs to be in May) for a 10, 12 or 14 days cruise (still very flexible) and reasonably priced, I'm leaning towards the oceanview cabin.

Iím 50 years old, French/American women, I am easy going, mature, I am a non smoker, light drinker, healthy, respectful, friendly, and love to laugh. I plan my time off with no drama or agenda. No problem entertaining myself, or can socialize also.

If you are interested in a roommate, send me an e-mail at elisa.divoux@hotmail.com with a little info about yourself and I'll reply in kind, and after we can connect to figure out the details.

I'd be open to hearing any of your suggestions as well.

Looking forward to hearing from some great candidates for this great cruise.

Some ideas
Vancouver, Vancouver 12 of May
14 nights, Holland America
$999, vacationstogo.com #11350

Vancouver, Vancouver 18 May
Princess/sapphire 14 nights
$1219, Vacations to go #11912

I am 67 years old and looking for a cruise companion who does not smoke or wear colognes/perfumes (I am seriously allergic) I am kind of shy but easy going and friendly. I am retired so flexible as to when and where to cruise. I just do not want to have to keep paying single rates. If you might be interested please let me know what you have in mind about when and where you would like to go. Thanks

64yo female, widowed, booked on Celebrity Silhouette from Rome to Ft Lauderdale a week later. I have a SV (aft balcony) cabin. $2930 for two so split that in half. Less than $100 per day for 16 days. NOT a bad price for a balcony cabin.

Interested???

Hi, I have just booked the Mediterranean cruise on Navigator of the seas -RCCL from April 28, 2013 till May 5th, and then May 5th till May 12, 2013. I have an inside cabin, and the cost is $399 + tax for 7 days. I am cruising for a total of 14 days.

I would be happy to share the cabin for either part of the cruise.

Is anyone interested.?

Hi, Sister Solo,
Since we are both in New England, thought I would touch base.
I am interested in a transatlantic for next spring.
Please be in touch!
I visit NH and we could meet over a cup of coffee and discuss cruises!
Best,

Howdy, CNR,

Well, you must be thinking of some other beautiful woman, because I do not live in New England (sadly), but in Tucson. A transatlantic cruise next spring sounds very appealing. I'm partial to NCL, and there are quite a few TA's that NCL offers. I like the Breakaway...they have studio cabins (I just sailed on the Epic in a studio cubby-hole), but it would be less if we shared a cabin, of course. I'd have to fly to or from NYC, but that's OK. I'd surely want to spend some time in NYC (two or three days, to see some shows, etc.), and wherever the ship starts or ends, in parts European or Asian, I'd like to spend time there, too.

Anyway, maybe you'd be best served by checking the posts again for the New Hampshire traveler you had in mind.

Meantime, I'll take a look at your posts, if there are any, and see if we have anything in common (a good place to start).

All the best to you.

Hello, CruiseNRead.

The post above may not be from a New Englander, but you read my info correctly: I definitely am!

I just got back from a transatlantic, Ft. Lauderdale to Rome, and have another planned for November in the opposite direction. I've been looking for a cabinmate for that, without much luck; then on this last cruise ran into someone I'd played trivia with on a previous cruise. She turned out to be interested in the same one I want.

There's nothing planned for next spring, at least yet. Whenever possible I look for bargains, and that often means not booking until a couple of months before the intended cruise. But I'd be happy to meet you --- maybe somewhere in Mass.? Or, where is it that you usually visit?

Default Celebrity cruise companion wanted

This cruise has a couple of sailings and the cost with air in an oceanview on sale would be about 3300.00 or a little less.

It is a Celebrity cruise and i just love Celebrity.

Their food is great etc.

I am about the destinations and not the ship life. *It has lots of port stops which is great.
The Celebrity ships are great too. *If interested let me know by PM. *This board is tough to follow.

There is two days at Normandy alone.

Several sailings in September and October. *Contact me as soon as possible.

We can each book our portion of the cruise on our own credit cards. *

Day 1 Harwich, England 5:00 PM
Day 2 Paris (Le Havre), France Docked 7:00 AM
Day 3 Paris (Le Havre), France Docked 9:00 PM
Day 4 At Sea
Day 5 Bordeaux(La Rochelle),France Docked 8:00 AM

Default Seeking cabin share on Norwegian Gem out of NY July 2013

I'm seeking a cabin share for a Norwegian Gem balcony room on one of the sailings in July from NY. My son is going with his family and i'm unable to join them unless I can share a cabin.

I'm a 60 year old family oriented woman that enjoys the casino and spending time with my family. Seeking similar person to share a cabin with!

No - you do not HAVE to be 60+ to post here, but we prefer that you be a lady looking for another lady to cruise with, and that you be willing to cruise with ladies 60+.
I'm seeking a mature (40-60 age range) female cabin mate for the Dawn Princess Cruise leaving Sydney on 13th July for Europe. I'm a nonsmoker and would like to find someone quiet and considerate. We may or may not decide to tour or have meals together. I'd be quite happy to have some companionship and of course a substantial saving on the solo cabin charges. Let's meet up for a coffee if you're in Sydney or talk on Skype.

Default 21-Day Panama Canal/Eastern Caribb Oct 19-Nov 9 San Diego - Ft. Lauderdale

HAL Cruise Dates: October 19 to November 9, 2013 San Diego to Ft. Lauderdale

Seeking senior woman travelmate for a 21-day Panama Canal/Eastern Caribbean cruise for interior cabin.

About me: see my bio/post #46 (Oct 23, 2012) here at, "Ladies Only 60+ Post Here."

By my calculations, you'll need to have a minimum of $3,000 to spend on this cruise (cruise, tax, insurance, port fees, flight/or drive to San Diego and drive/flight back from Ft. Lauderdale [the end of the line], gratuities, etc., more if you want to do excursions, spend time on your own in California or Florida) for an interior cabin, more if we get a balcony.

However, I have a plan for turning this into a great deal. I'll tell you about it when I hear from you.

Itinerary
Depart San Diego Saturday, October 19, 2013, 5pm
Puerto Vallarta, Mexico
Huatulco, Mexico
Puerto Chiapas, Mexico
Puerto Caldera, Costa Rica
Two Days Panama Canal
Cartagena, Colombia
Ft. Lauderdale, FL
Grand Turk, Turks and Caicos
San Juan, Puerto Rico
Philipsburg (St. Maarten)
Half Moon Cay, Bahamas
Ft. Lauderdale, FL November 9, 2013 7am

There isn't any requirement to hang out together or depend on each other to catch us when we fall down drunk. But a friendship may ensue from this travel opportunity. Wonderful if it does. No problem if it doesn't.

I consider myself organized and neat and respectful, generous and kind. I like reading my books, walking about, maybe an excursion here and there, and eating great food. But I can do all that alone and be content. Or maybe the two of us could go to the "singles" meetings they have onboard, and make friends there, if you want to. I'm very casual (an old hippie, frankly), but I get dressed up every once in awhile, and I love karaoke. For cruises I've done in the past, I've organized or helped to organize the Meet and Greets...

Shoot me an email if you're interested; tell me about your cruising experience, if you've traveled with travel clubs, etc., before, what you love about cruising, and what your concerns and considerations are. Please no whiners, complainers, messy types, head-cases, tightwads. Prefer easy-going, generous people with a great sense of humor.

We're gonna need that. :-)

Looking forward to hearing from you!

Hi Mary Anne,

I would be interested in talking to you about this. I have a TA cruise booked for Nov 2 from Southampton to Fort Lauderdale, 13 nights on the Independence of the Seas. I am prepared to go solo but would rather save money and share a room with a compatible person. I would also be willing to talk about future cruises if this doesn't work for you.

I am a 58 year old w/f, mother of 21 year old triplets. Kids are raised, now I can relax a bit! I still work but have a flexible schedule. I am a non-smoker, light drinker, neat and organized. I am travel savvy and comfortable planning trips. And I live in the Seattle area as well.

Sue

Hello everyone!

My 59 year-old mother is looking for cruising buddies who either live in South Florida or are planning to cruise out of Florida. As a retired homemaker, she has an open schedule, a valid passport, and a yen to see the world--even if the part of the world she's going to is a place she has seen a thousand times before. She is tidy and non-smoking and loves to dance, play tennis, and kayak.

Please do send a pm and then you all could meet for a coffee or a chat on the phone to discuss your next adventure. (She's not very computer savvy.)

PS My mother is straight, but would be fine with a non-straight travel buddy.
