Default Ocho Rios - what to do

What is there to do in Ocho Rios besides the falls? We are travelling with our 3 year old and am gathering the climb will not be child friendly. Do we spend the day on the ship or is shopping a must do? I noticed on the Carnival site that about every shore trip takes you to the falls. Any suggestions will be appreciated.

There is always the Wyndham (sp) tour where they take you to a plantation. I haven't done it but it is laid back and a 'pretty' tour.

Do not go on the Bamboo raft down the Martha Brae River. .Only 2 in a raft.. takes an hour on a bus to get there.. and another to get back.. There is a very nice beach right where the ships dock.. I'd go there.. and eat lunch on the ship and then go back to the beach..you can see some people para sailing.. Wished we had done that instead.
