Default Deadman's Reef

Hey y'all... need some help. WIfe and I are going on the Fantasy in early May and want to try Deadmans Reef for snorkeling. I am looking for anyone that has been there. I am curious if we just catch a taxi and pay a hotel there at Paradise Cove to let us on the beach or what. Cab fair would run how much ???
Also, is the reef a long way from the beach? I read somewhere that it was a good way from the beach, but there were floats that you can hold on out there.
Any info on Deadman's Reef would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance!!

I know I've read about this place.

I think it was on

check their message boards. They have a specific forum for Bahamas under Ports Of Call section, you could try doing a search there. Cruisemates is a great source of information, but cruise-critic is especially good for excursion/port information.
