Hi! My husband and I are going on a Royal Carribean cruise with a day in nassau. We are interested in either a sailing experience, dolphin encounter, or wondering if any of the all inclusives like Sandals offer day passes. Any suggestions? Thanks!
Hi Mary,
Yes, if there is a Sandals resort in Nassau, they do offer day passes. WE did day passes in St. Lucia. YOu can go to the "Sandals" web-site and get the information.
We've also done a tour that included Atlantis on Paradise Island, that was also great to see while in Nassau...
Hi MB,
The only way to access the slides is to be a guest at the hotel. The tour you'd get would be just the dig, which is awesome and the casino, outside the aquarium, etc. I've heard you can be a guest next door at the Comfort Inn and be able to use the water facilities at Atlantis, but I'm sure thats costly.
Hi... I will be cruising on NCL in July...the shore excursions are expensive. So I've been my homework...I have heard the same about the Comfort Suites and its TRUE! The excursions from NCL was $75pp and its just a tour of the dig and a spot on the beach. There are 3 of us ..so thats $225. At Comfort suites the cheapest room was $195+taxes..which was $233..which includes passes to have FULL USE OF ALL FACILITES AT ATLANTIS!!! I called to comfirm it...and booked a room!! For me its worth it because there are 3 of us..and that seems to be the best must see thing to do there...unless you like the shopping/straw hat type of thing. If anyone is interested the phone # is 242 363 3680. Also you can check their web site go to the Comfort suites main site and go to Bahamas, paradise island....If anyone has tried this or will be doing this ...let me know how it worked out..... Tina
When we were in Nassau last year we did the dolphin swim. It was expensive but worth it. My kids are still watching the video and talking about it. I booked it through www.shoretrips.com. If you want to use the facilities at Atlantis I know people who booked a room there for the day in order to use the facilities and they had a ball. I think they said the room was @ $150. Hope this helps.
Atlantis no longer offers "day rentals" of their rooms. You have to pay full rack-rates which start at $380. - $ 410. depending on the date. The comfort Suites across the street from the Atlantis does offer access to all Atlantis facilities. Rates are usually a $100.00 less than Atlantis' !
have been checking out the dolphins at nassau and torotola ( clsoe to st thomas), much cheaper at tortola but still waiting on replies if people have done the dolphin discovery. Have 2 18yo girls that will be with us and want to do, anyone done the dolphin discovery? we are on the nos June 19 out of miami. dawn

Any suggestions for non-hotel choices for activities in Nassau....I am looking for more independent options for a group of ten friends.....we have one day and enjoy eating, drinking, and water activities...snorkelling, kayaking, jet skiing. Thanks, niyati
Thanks for the information! Do you know what time you can start using the facilities at the Atlantis? I believe the check in time at Comfort Inn is 3:00pm, but we'd like to get off the ship at 10:00am and head strait over to the Atlantis.
We are sailing this month and have a room booked at the Comfort Suites too! I was wondering if you could tell me how it went?? Were you able to pre check in? In your opinion was it worth getting a room??
That's sounds like a lot of money to see and do man-made things you could see and do in many cities in the states at aquariums and water parks. i think you're missing the boat if you don't see places like Blue Lagoon and experience nature at it's best. It seems to me like going to Hawaii and spending the day at the hotel, but to each his own.
You are right. We have decided to cancel our room at Comfort Inn and look for something else. We were thinking about doing the Blackbeards Cay Beach Break and just enjoying the beach and some watersports. If I'm not mistaken, this is at Blue Lagoon isnt it?? Does anyone know if they have bananna boat rides or water trampolines there? Also, we are thinking about the Stingray excursion. I have heard its not that good. Any sugestions???
