Default fishihg in alaska

first time cruiser heading to alaska, liked to fish here at home but would be a dream to do it there. any advice or suggestion would be appreciated, thanks

Skagway and Haines Alaska have great Salmon runs in the summer. There are also charters in all ports for Halibut but they can be pricy. State lisences apply for salmon on inland waterways. I don't recall a lisence issue when we went deep sea fishing. Check out the web sites for the ports you will visit and the Alaska State web site for more detailed information.
