yes there is a beach. Carnival has built a cruise center that has a beach with a Margaritville which is free! we did not know this in June when we were on the Fantasy so we booked a tram excursion to take us to the beach but we could have took a cab for alot less. so you could send all day at Margaritville, with its free beach and pool or catch a cab to a beach or downtown. the island is only 1 mile wide by 6-8 miles long. so good luck on your trip!!
