going on the Elation in may and want to know if anyone can tell me about the horse back riding and the 2 person jeep tour which one is better? also saying in San Diego a few days early has anyone stayed at the old town inn?
I've only done the horse back riding there and it was a number of years back, but it was fun....riding along the beach, then inland for a while, then back to the beach.
Keep in mind that since Mexico does not have all kinds of liability insurance issues like we do in the US, they are a lot looser about things. Do not expect a slow, docile ride. If you ask, they will help make that happen, but otherwise, you can pretty much go at your own pace...or the horse's! I loved riding in Mexico because of that. But, also check the saddle and bridle discreetly before mounting. I ended up with a stirrup held on by string once. I ride well enough that it was not a problem, but be aware of your skill level.
We did the wineries tour in Ensenda and that was a lot of fun. In San Diego we did the tour of the Midway, which was surprising very good (and inexpensive too, I think it was about $10).

I have not stayed at the Old Town Inn in San Diego, but have been to Old Town there several times. A very pleasant and interesting area. If you have the time you can also take the trolley tour of San Diego. It has an office/pick up spot in Old Town. Have fun!
