Default Art Auction

Is it worth buying art at the art auction on a cruise ship? I just returned from a Carnival cruise and attended an auction for the first time. Some of the work was very expensive (not my budget), but there were others that I liked and were affordable. Any comments/advice appreciated.

Default Re: Art Auction

I have never bought any art onboard a cruise ship. There might be some bargains to be had, but then you have the cost of shipping home, plus possible expense for framing. I've just never bothered. And besides, I don't go on cruises to buy art. :-))

Anyone else have an opinion on this subject? Please jump right in and give your views.
