I am heading on my first cruise May 13th and am very excited! Im 22 years old and chose to pay the single supplement...any advice to make sure I maximize my cruising experience?? 8)
Hi, you have to make sure you become active on the VTG message board that will be set up for all the cruisers to talk with eachother two months in advance of cruising. That is how you will maximize your cruise experience because by the time you get on the ship you will already have met several singles to be friends with and hang out with them. Plus, the lurkers will also know who you are. You must also post a photo of yourself so the singles can recognize you when you get on board the ship. Angel Gal
I also booked the 5/13 VTG singles cruise on the Carnival Valor too. This will be my second singles cruise with VTG (went to the Mexican Riviera with them last April on the Sapphire Princess from LA and it was great) and my first cruise ever on a Carnival ship. Of course, I can't wait for that chat site to be up so I can chat with you folks before the cruise (most likely will be next month around my final payment due). I'm looking forward to this trip and it should be lots of fun!!!
Be sure to post your photo so people know what you look like. I had posted my photo on the vtg board and a guy I met had also posted his photo so when we saw eachother on the ship we became fast friends. We are still friends because of the photos being posted. It made a big difference in meeting lots of singles that way. Angel gal

Iam also booked on this cruise with vtg. Should be a blast as I know some peeople from other cruises. There is quite a few party people on this onee! so here comes the shots by the pool..blender parties.. and alot of late nights partying and dancing in the disco
well if your not booked with the singles group..you can still hang out and party with all of us. the only difference is you cant go to the singles parties and the group has a seperate area for dinner. you can talk to some of us through here to find and meet some people that are crusing with us. iam just looking forward to the drinking dancing and hanging out at the beaches all week.

Yes Indeed, My Friend and I are the Organizers of the Blender Parties, had 2 on the Halloween cruise . One was on the Agenda but by Popular Demand we had another . They are so much fun . More details will follow when they get the Yahoo chat site up in April . Looking forward to meeting ya'll Its going to be so much fun !! Trust me . This will be my 19th cruise . Darn .....I love to Cruise !

Glad you mention it about the Boos We'll be needing some Vodka . I'll buy some in Miami and try to sneek some on board from one of the Islands . When are you coming in ? Same time as Helen ?
i will be in on friday sometime..havent got air yet. looks like i will be staying at the holiday inn by bayside. i like hanging out at bayside so thats cool . i will have vodka with me for sure.. how many people do u know coming so far?
ok Chetter...i just picked up some more vodka for the cruise. So its looking like i shall have a nice size box of liquor that i will ship down to the hotel in miami. bringing about four bottles of wine for dinner and about 4 or 5 bottles of vodka tequila etc for the room parties and late night drinking
you can carry wine on you....other liquor you can put in water bottles inside your luggage..theres bunch of differnt ways...but i carry the wine on.and put all the other stuff in my luggage in water bottles or i put one or two bottles in a shoe box wrapped in luggage in my suitcase... iam lucky i buy it at home and i can ship it to my precruise hotel for free. then i just swith it over at the hotel. this liquor is just for the cabin parties we all have and after the bar closes around 4 5 am.
Another way FYI is to go to the Outdoor Store and get the collapsible
water containers called "Platypus"(5.99-6.99) They come in 1 or 2 liter containers . the Hikers use them and one good thing about them is they are very light weight and they are collapsible ,Very easy to put in your Luggage . I also wrap them(filled) in a Plastic Garbage bag just for added protection .

Karl I'm getting in on thrusday and staying on Miami Beach (Howard Johnson Dezerland Hotel) (69.00 a night Not Bad ) and a few of us are driving down thru the Keys to Key West on Saturday We have a full car but you are welcome to follow the caravan if you are getting a rented car.We will be back before the Pre cruise Party
