very boring, but very imporant. u all cram into a room, like the threader and listen to wat u have 2 do in cass of a fire or sinking ship, u no stuff like that. U have to put on a life jaket, to make sure u can work it and that it works fine. it gets I little hot in there! only about 30 I think.
Ahh, has to be one of my least favorite parts of going on cruises (other then getting off!) The loud sound of the alarm gives me chills because I would be going insane if we ever had to auctually use the lifeboats.
Usually the drills last about 15min, you are asked to take your life vests to a muster station, where they make you put on the chokers (life vests) and show you how they work. Some lines will have you stand outside of you assigned boat, but some have you wait in a lounge and they tell you over the PA system.
Still puzzles me because they always say, "Women, childern, the sick and eldery will be first to board the lifeboats!"
I thought this had changed, to everyone had an equal chance to use them, for all there is enough for everyone -Guess I am not priority!
