You guys do realize that Ford owns Volvo, Chrystler owns Mercedes, and GM owns Audi.

Fran: I just was telling you that its better to buy forign cars- more features...

You have been inside one Chevy car, and the dash, radio, HVAC, seats and buttons, you have been in every Chevy, GMC, Pontiac, Buick and Cadillac car!

It's been a while since this topic was up... Right now, I have been working a couple of jobs the past few months, saving up for a newer car...

Right now its between a Lexus IS-300 or Infiniti G35, either certified used obviously.

I still have a couple of months until I can purchase, so who knows what I will want then!

Yeah, but I really want something bigger... The G35 coupe is tight, but harder to find used and more expensive...

I think I will be able to find a certified IS-300 straight from the Lexus dealer itself.

A car is A car ....... thats definetly a comment from someone who isn't a teen. Sounds like a parent, even a teen who doesn't have the money or ways to drive a neat car can appreciate the enjoyment a teen would have in having one...i think its just genic thing that all teen get. Sure once we get older we probably pass thru that phase, but heck werre all just normal to dream of a really nice car.

How can people complain about the perfectly nice cars that their parents BOUGHT for them?!? I mean honestly.....why not just be thankful that your parents would buy something as expensive as a car for you. Some of us have to work, and save all our money towards a car. Not everyone is just handed things to them.

Well... I just got a new car, and I proudly paid for a large portion of it.

I got a certified used Lexus IS-300...

I work three jobs, here on this website, a grocrey store as a cashier and bus tables in a restaraunt on the beach, so I used the money I had been saving in the bank to get a new car...

Oh, yeah and I still have a life, you can work and still have time to do sports and stuff with friends, I only work on Fridays from 5:30-8:30, so therefore my nights are free, and I work on Saturday's form 11:00-3:00, busing tables, other then that I ususally work on Sundays and two other days a week.

If you save up your own money to get something you really want, you will be more happy in the long run then if you just gave in and didnt work as hard...

Dan--I agree completely with you. If you work that hard for your money, go spend it on what you want to buy.

I know what its like to have to pay for things you want, too. I'm in varsity volleyball and track, but still work up at a video store, and I spend my entire summer working as a lifeguard at a
summer camp. Many of my friends have cars that their parents bought for them, but I think
mine means a whole lot more to me, just because of the fact that I worked hard and bought it with my money.
A lot of people are saying that only 'rich families go on cruises', which isnt always the case.
My family is by no means rich, but the reason we can go on cruises is because my family
doesn't spend our money on the newest cars or the most expensive name-brand clothing.
