Joe u also clearly have a bias for RCI's ships as do i for Carnival, we should respect that as well.

Joe's statement wasn't an opinion. It was "I don't have cheap and tacky tastes." If it was an opinion, he would say, "Well, the decor isn't really my style."

Someone who is polite and has decent grammatical skills would. Speaking of which, I still can't figure out why people like to say:

heeeeeyyyyyyyyyyyyyy whaaaaaaat isssssssss up i think caaaaarnival fantttasssy loooks like **** ooooookaaaaay.

Did I end up on some sort of foreign forum where people don't speak English?

From pictures I have seen, most carnival ships are quite tacky and the color choices oh my gosh it hurts my eyes! I think rccl and princess do a better job decorating..but I noticed the newer the carnival ship the less tacky it gets .. so i guess someone finally told them how hideous stuff was!

Carnival's Style isnt hideous, well now it might be, but perhaps we should consider most of their ships were built in the late 80s or early 90s when thr "Vegas" look was their selling point. Carnival markets primarily to the younger age group whereas Celebrity and these other lines market to an older and family clientel whom appreciate a heightened style of elegance.

Joe - the way you say things sounds more like a "i'm right and you're wrong" statement than an opinion.

lol... okay so i love carnival ships. but i agree, their ships are decorated in very bright colors, sometimes even neon colors, and sometimes the decorations are a little outrageous, but that doesnt mean its an ugly ship! i agree that the older ships are less appealing today because of the decor and the age of the ship in relation to their newer ships. and their newer ships are showing alot less of the NEON CASINO VEGAS NIGHTCLUB decorations, but i think that that is what makes carnival, carnival. i mean look at the name of the cruise line, CARNIVAL. the word carnival means a party basically and it can come with bright outrageous things lol... their are definitely more classier cruise lines with more moderate and basic decorations, but carnivals decorations are something they are famous for. i have been on one of the smaller fantasy class ships (the sensation) and in my opinion some parts of it were a little much and a litte too bright, but i had an awesome time, it was my first carnival cruise (i had been on royal caribbean when i was younger). that cruise made my family decide that they really love the party atmosphere of carnival and that is why we decided to take so many more cruises with them. whatever, im not trying to get into the argument or anything, but yeahhh i dont even know...

THANK YOU!!!

And the sensation is FAR more bright and tacky than the Fantasy whose core design is rome versus vegas for the Sensation.
