We're planning to offer small ship (max. 24 passengers) 7-6 day expedition cruises in and around Panama.
Instead of onboard entertainment these trips would have a strong educational focus with nature and history guides and we'd visit places like old Spanish fortresses ransacked by famous pirates like Henry Morgan and Francis Drake, indian villages in the jungle and the San Blas (Kuna Yala) archipelago), go kayaking up rivers, snorking and transit the Panama Canal.
I won't be cheap but it will be very rewarding and fun. We'll visit places where only small yachts can go all in comfort and safety.
Any feedback, comment, suggestions are very welcome.
This sounds like a really fun idea! You might want to try working with some private schools and seeing if you can arrange for the school/groups to go aboard. This really wouldn't be something I am interested in, but many kids I believe would enjoy due to my love of Cruise Ship activities, the large amount of people, and the CHEAP PRICES!!! Good luck and let us know when you start!
You may want to make it a bit longer for example, I live in England and would not just travel all they way to panama for a 6 night cruise perhaps you could add a few nights either end
Voyager 2002 7 night Western Caribbean
Grandeur 2003 12 night Baltic and Scandinavia
Navigator 2005 7 night Eastern Caribbean
Brilliance 2006 12 night Med and Venice
Serenade 2007 7 night Alaska
Concordia 2007 6 night Med
Summit 2008 12 night Eastbound Transatlantic
Victoria Star 2008 4 night Yichang to Chongqing
Galaxy 2008 10 night Med and Greek Isles
Because of scheduling considerations, adding a few days to the cruise, before or after, would bring other complications. However, we do plan to offer a pre- and post-departure program where one could visit places that are not offered during the cruise itself.
So, you'd still have a say 10/12-day vacation including a 7-day cruise.
