I am thinking of taking my teen, and one of her friends, on my 2009 caribbean curise on princess. My daughter and I are close, and as it's almost my first cruise, it is an experience where I'd rather have her nearby, than texting her up in PA.
In your opinion, is this something a 15/16 yr old would enjoy? I would appreciate any feed back I can get.
Thanks
teen mom
Does your daughter like food? Does she like warm places and seeing new things/meeting new people? Does she like getting dressed up and going to shows? Then i think she would enjoy a cruise. I have cruised with just my mother and we have had so much fun!! We spend a lot of time together and are really close, and ive made many new friends.
If your daughter isnt sure if she wants to cruise or not, just have her come online and talk to us!

To answer you, yes, I've already told her about this website to talk to teens....
Depends on food, she can be snoopy.
Yes and yes on the warm and meeting people.
Dressed up, not sure on that one either. We're just a couple country hicks from a small town in PA (we don't even have a redlight!)
Thanks for the help!
There are so many options for dining...she should be able to find something she likes!!
Im also from a small town in the Northeast...but we have stoplights... but i love getting dressed up on cruises since i hardly ever get to at home.

I think your daughter will like cruises. There are very few people that dont like cruises. My friend put it this way-
If you like meeting people, having fun, and relaxing a cruise is for you.
If you would like to know the culture in depth, a cruise probably isn't for you.
Cruises offer only a short stay in the ports, so there isn't much time to learn about different cultures. My friend enjoyed the ship he was on, but yet he really wishes he got to know the culture better of the places he went to.
I personally really enjoy cruises. (Basically expected of someone on a cruise forum) I really enjoy the freedom that cruises offer. At home, I can't just wander around downtown with a bunch of friends I just met the night before. On a cruise, I can go wander around, go to dinner, go swimming, and basically just enjoy the freedom that cruises enable you to have.
Hopefully this was of some help to you. Feel free to ask anymore questions if you would like.

You're making me feel better about taking her on the cruise! Thanks all for your input, and I'm sure she will be on these boards shortly to start getting all her own information.
