GENESIS CLASS SHIPS NAMED
 

The 2 new Royal Caribbean Genesis (Now Oasis Class) Class ships will be named:

Oasis of the Seas

Allure of the Seas

im liking oasis not so much allure i put in endeavor of the seas n escapade of the seas

i like oasis but hate allure. idk something about it. oo well. its named its done. anyways haha. if anyone remembers when we had a topic on what we would name our ship if we had one someone put that name oasis =]

Eh..I don't really like either of the names.

I think both myself and someone else put in Oasis on here and i'm sure lots of people put in Oasis on the poll. I'm partial to the names but at the same times i'm not so sure I like them. I think both would be EXCELLENT names for Carnival ships. Carnival Oasis, Carnival Allure.

My theory is that we're so used to hearing longer names with RCI and it just doesn't fit with the tag "of the Seas". Jewel of the Seas is the shortest name RCI has and so thats my guess as to the feelings towards the name. But no worries, Carnival will name their ships after the Dream class Oasis because theyre always right behind RCI (freedom ships within a month of each other). Lol

I've always wanted Carnival Oasis as a ship, so hopefully carnival really will follow(like usual) this time.

i cant remember where i saw something about voting but i voted and i dont remember what i voted for but not those ;p
allure, i agree sounds better with Carnival.
Oasis, reminds me of the golf and batting cage place we have here, so i expect some of that on the ship :)

Oasis sounds to me like a good name; it represents RCCL's attempt to put their ships out into the market as a haven for cruisers. Allure, even if it represents the power to entice or attract through personal charm, doesn't really sound appropriate for a cruise ship.

Ehh it probably just came along with the package when they chose that guy's name outta the pot. Lol

I'm sure people had some reservation naming Carnival Ships names like...Ecstasy...Fantasy...Elation sounds more like a *** dream than a ship to me.

And to ryan, thats the first time I've actually ever looked at those ships in that sense, but I guess it makes sense.

allure? thats a super akward name for a cruise ship i think.

oasis is really cool. makes me think of like a really pretty waterfall haha
