Default tipping with different people in cabin

I'm going on a cruise with my daughter (whose tips I'll be paying for], she'll be 10),my mom and my sister. We'll all be in the same cabin. Do each persons automated tips get charged to thier S&S card or will itgo on the card that booked the cabin?

Would we all use seperate envelopes or just one for the cabin steward? Also if they are automated do we even do envelopes?? I've been on one cruise with Royal Caribbean and they printed vouchers out at the pursers desk to put in the envelopes. This cruise is with Carnival if that helps in answering. TIA.

Carnival will charge $10/pp per day to each person's sign and sail card. At the end of your cruise all the charges will go the the credit card(s) associated with the cabin, unless you have a cash account. You can have the tips removed by going to the Purser's desk and requesting it and then tip using envelopes. I found it much easier to just leave them to be charged to the sign and sail card.

I though Carnival charged kids 1/2 tips, does anyone know for sure if that is true?

They charge the full $10 pp pd no matter if they are kids or not. There is also no reason why they should charge 1/2. Kids take just as much if not more effort to serve than adults.

You know I've been wondering why I haven't gotten any responses to my questions . . . it turns out I didn't have the little box check marked to send me a reply!

Thanks for the answer Darcy! My mom and sister will be using their own credit card for their sign and sail card so it shouldn't be a problem.
