Tipping

I will be on the RCCL's Vision of the Sea. I'm confused about tipping. I have read where you tip the Head Waiter, Waiter and room attendant. Is this a tip at the end or do we tip each day for each meal. Please help a rookie.

26 days until our cruise.

Re: Tipping

You tip on the last night of the cruise. When you order drinks, a 15% tip is automatically added to the drink charge.

You should tip the waiter, asst. waiter, your cabin attendant and if you wish the head waiter. It averages about $10.00 a day per person. They will provide you with envelopes at the end of the cruise.

Re: Tipping

When it comes to Head Waiters and Maitre d's - I only tip them if they make a regular appearance at the table to check on things, or if they have been able to honor a special request. This has rarely been the case in our experience. These people are not part of the normal tipping pool (if tips on RC are in fact pooled) and earn a decent salary.
