Just FYI, the head waiter is the supervisor responsible for the waiters in the entire dining room. While the cruise lines will try to get you to tip him or her, we don't unless they do something extra for us. The ones you should tip are your table waiter, assistant waiter and cabin steward. We use the automatic billing to our on board account. It comes to $10 per person (that's per traveler) per day to cover all 3. You can do it in cash or give someone less or more depending on service received.
If you plan on the $10.00 per day, per person, that should cover it. Although if you should order room service, an extra tip is expected for that person who delivers it, its not your regular cabin attandent.
what about the other person in charged of the dinning room

i never tip him because i have never seen him through the cruise the only one i tip is the person who done our room and our waiter
