Default windsong & kids

I recently read that the windsong will sail to Tahiti. I know that there isn't a kids program, but would children be welcomed and enjoy this line--in your opinion? Ages: 9&12--
Thanks

They would probably be the only kids on board, but the staff is very friendly and the Windsatr ships have a great watersports platform right on the back end of the ship. Also, keep in mind that you are probably in port every day so the kids will not be seeing all that much of the ship. The cabins have VCRs and you can order pizza and popcorn in the rooms, that is often enough to keep any kid happy.

Going all the way to Tahiti so the kids can enjoy pizza and popcorn in their cabin??? That's awfully expensive popcorn...

Sometimes, it's ok NOT to bring the kids along, and this is definately one of them.

I personally wouldn't take kids 9 & 12 on the Wind Song to Tahiti. They will be bored. There is nothing for them to do expect maybe some of the water sports. These ships are not condusive to children.
I am sure you and your husband would love this type of cruise, but leave the kids at home and take them on a larger ship later where there will be lots of kids and programs for them.

There are lots of ships that cater to kids, and make them and their parents happy. This is not one of them. While the staff may be accommodating, leave your kids home as a kindness to your fellow passengers. Tje brochure specifically states that the program is not for kids. Most passengers count on these ships not being the Disney Big Red Boat. The ship is a very adult experience. Quiet, civilized.

PLEASE don't bring kids. They're not planned for, and the overwhelming majority of the passengers count on their absence.

This is from Windstar's literature. We are on the Windsurf from Nice to Rome on May 24 and we would not be happy to have to put up with children. Disney and Carnival are geared for kids, not Windstar....

CHILDREN

Children, especially infants and toddlers, are not encouraged aboard Windstar cruises. The intimate ship size and unregimented atmosphere are adult in orientation and do not provide for the care, supervision, or entertainment of children. Children occupying staterooms as the third person are charged the applicable "third person" rate, which is available on request. .
